Week 1 (8/31-9/4) Monday August 31st Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing summer and are feeling refreshed and ready for another amazing school year together! As we begin Grade Two, this first week may be a little hectic as everyone gets settled back into school, remembers our routines, and gets back into the rhythm of learning. Don’t worry—we will take our time and slowly get back into our regular routines. For the first week, homework will be light , and we will not have our usual weekly quiz . The most important thing this week is simply getting comfortable, reconnecting with our classmates, and getting ready for the year ahead. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the students again and watching them learn, grow, and have fun throughout Grade Two. Let’s have another amazing year together! I’m excited for all the wonderful things we will learn and accomplish this year! Decodable Story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywASnGwrrJI Main Story: https:/...

Thursday August 27th Welcome back, everyone! It’s hard to believe that summer is already over and we are ready to begin another school year. It is especially nice to be starting Grade Two with the same wonderful students and families we got to know so well last year. Grade Two is an exciting year. The students will be reading more, writing more, learning new vocabulary, and becoming more independent in their English. We will also have plenty of opportunities to learn through games, stories, activities, and lots of conversation. As always, I hope our English classroom will be a place where students feel comfortable trying new things, making mistakes, asking questions, and having fun while they learn. I’m looking forward to seeing how much everyone grows this year. Welcome back, and let’s have a great Grade Two together! Welcome to a new school year!
